Weeds of vineyard ecosystem and their management with selected broad spectrum herbicides

A field experiment was conducted during 2018-19 to study weed diversity and their management by using broad spectrum herbicide. The laid out in randomized complete block design with three replications. vegetation analysis done before herbicide treatment. Herbicides evaluated were glufosinate-ammonium 13.5% SL at 375, 495 615 g a.i./ha, diuron 80% WP 1600 a.i./ha paraquat dichloride 24% 500 along hand weeding weedy check. indicated that, 17 species predominant which includes seven grass eight leaf (BLW). Among the grasses, Digitaria sanguinalis (30.81 29.04%) Paspalidium spp. (23.52 22.03) could be rated as highly being much higher density 2018 2019. BLW, Ageratum conizoides (35.6 36.54%) Parthenium hysteroporus (24.75 24.19%) control efficiency of grasses achieved application applied 30 45 DAT (99.51 98.18% 95.31 98.03%, respectively 2019). BLW also effectively killed evident (96.30 94.87% 93.97 94.39%, Hence, glufosinateammonium13.5% is having greater efficacy on mixed population vineyards when compared a.i./ha.
